Responsible person

Since January 1st, 2021, a Responsible Person in the UK is required in order to sell cosmetic products in the country. A responsible person must have an UK established address to make cosmetics products available in UK.

The role of the Responsible Person (often also called an UK Legal representative or the UK Legal Representation), is to ensure continued product compliance with cosmetics regulations and safety regarding human health.

If your brand company does not have an entity registered in the UK, you may instead appoint a third-party Responsible Person for your UK products. This is the core of our NordicReg services.
